How would you honor your favorite artist?
A special edition music box with curated playlists that follow a relationship storyline, and a personal essay.
PROJECT SUMMARY
DPR IAN is a genre-defying artist that has a very strong and established branding system. With this music box project, I wanted to take the idea of making “special edition” style with three playlists, and packaging to create my own brand for DPR IAN whilst maintaining the integrity of his musical style.

Main Catalog (Essay)
Main booklet containing the essay about why I love this artist, how I would go about designing all the deliverables, and what this project means to me.
Mini Catalog 1/3 (Lust)
The first booklet to pair with the first playlist, which describes the rise and fall of a relationship.
Mini Catalog 2/3 (Limbo)
The second booklet contains songs that represent derealization and reflection. After a breakup, you fall into a state of limbo where you struggle to get back up from and don’t know when you’ll bounce back.
Mini Catalog 3/3 (Love)
The third booklet contains a playlist that goes through the motions of regaining a part of you that was once lost. Whether you’re out finding a new love, or learning to love yourself, the end of this series is your new beginning.
