Memories Photos App Redesign

Remember to make a memory!
A redesign of Apple’s Photos app that incentivizes the idea of taking photos in the moment.
PROBLEM
My friends and I always revisit old photos through SnapChat’s memory system, but have not taken very many photos recently now that we don’t use our phones as often as we did in high school.
PROPOSED SOLUTION
Redesigning the current Photos app to allow for reminder notifications, not only reminding those of past memories—but also to make new ones based on who/where you are nearby.
Disclaimer: This project was completed before the release of iOS 14, which now has similar “reminder” features. This project was also conceptualized before the popularization of BeReal.

I wanted to emphasize the reminder portion of this app, where the user would be notified when they’re near someone that they usually take photos with. If they didn’t want to take photos right away, an alarm could be set to send a second reminder before the end of the night.
